Commercial Finance Analyst
The Commercial Finance Analyst will work closely within the M&A and Capital Markets team focusing on acquisitions and project financing of solar and storage projects. The position is an open-ended role with the ability to build expertise in bespoke debt and equity structuring at both the corporate and project level, as well as M&A in the renewable energy space.
Responsibilities:
• Assist sourcing, evaluation, selection, modeling and structuring of debt and tax equity facilities on solar and storage projects
• Assist the M&A team in modeling and evaluating acquisition opportunities to continue to expand the renewable energy portfolio
• Assist with the due diligence, review and analysis of prospective acquisitions
• Provide recommendations for new processes, analysis and approaches that will enhance the overall effectiveness of the Commercial Finance Team
• Potential to attend conferences, manager meetings, due diligence meetings and provide detailed memorandums for the Commercial Finance Team
• Support and eventually own modeling tax equity and debt structures and assist the finance team in modeling efficient partnership structures
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field with a strong academic record
• Familiarity with renewable energy financing structures and mechanics preferred
• Highly organized with an ability to work in a self-directed fashion and manage multiple projects within defined deadlines
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong work ethic as well as the ability manage multiple high priority projects and to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Highest ethical and professional standards as well as ability to work within confidentiality of sensitive information and material
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Committed team player with the ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships
• Flexibility conducive to a fast-paced, growing company environment
