Asset Analyst

This position is responsible for supporting the reporting, financial analysis, operational analysis, and related assignments for a large portfolio of utility-scale photovoltaic assets. **Experienced candidates may be considered for a senior-level position with expanded responsibilities such as leading reporting requirements and ensuring contract compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support monthly and quarterly reporting obligations required by project energy contracts, financing agreements, and regulatory compliance obligations while optimizing reporting tools.  Includes evaluating significant amounts of data, analyzing, compiling, and ensuring accuracy of reports

• Analyze, compile and format reports for various ownership entities

• Assist Asset Managers with compliance reporting

• Assist in monitoring, evaluating, and understanding the production and financial performance of operating solar projects  

• Analyze data and prepare operational and financial results for assigned assets

• Monitor budgets and provide forecasting and performance analysis on new and existing assets

• Identify and resolve unique and/or complex problems related to financial or operational data analysis, reporting, and related responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance of asset-related information in the records management system

• Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis

• Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance of assets  

• Develop, review and distribute financial reports, metrics, charts and schedules to support operational performance

• Other duties as assigned

Primary Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (ie, business, finance, information systems, mathematics, computer science)

• Professional work experience; preferred industry experience and/or familiarity

• Excellent computer skills, including exceptional Excel skills Adept at handling large amounts of data and working on multiple projects or priorities

• Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy as well as proficiency in finance/accounting

• Passion for renewable energy

• Ability to build internal relationships to achieve business unit objectives

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage competing deadlines or projects

• Committed team player with the ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships

• Flexibility conducive to a fast-paced, growing company environment
