Accounts Payable Manager

The AP Manager will be responsible to lead all company payment transactions and manage the growing accounts payable team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead accounts payable staff and manage day-to-day responsibilities

• Manage functions such as maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting

• Oversee the accounts payable process in NetSuite

• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted

• Manage the status of all company transactions including those with external vendors and contractors

• Participate in standardizing procedures to generate efficiency in the accounts payable process

• Manage accounts payable team to address discrepancies and resolve vendor billing issues

• Manage monthly closing for the accounts payable team

• Supervise the vendor W-9 process

• Participate with audit support as necessary

• Acts as liaison between corporate and accounts payable department

• Other duties as assigned

Primary Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience

• 5+ years accounts payable experience

• Firm understanding of GAAP, concepts, and AP procedures

• Proven experience in leadership roles

• Must have substantial ERP AP system experience, preferably with NetSuite or a similar program

• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

• Experience with legal documentation and reading custom contracts preferred

• Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability

• Reliable and highly organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy

• Maintain effective judgment, discretion, and professionalism

• Effective verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

• Committed team player with the ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships

• Flexibility conducive to a fast-paced, growing company environment
